We Are EPIDEMEK

E.P.I.D.E.M.E.K. is a Columbus-based nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals, families, and communities impacted by incarceration, trauma, and systemic inequities. Using a trauma-informed, culturally competent, and community-centered approach, we deliver programs that promote empowerment, stability, and long-term success.

Our name embodies our mission—Empowerment, Prevention, Intervention, Development, Education, Mentorship, Engagement, and Knowledge—principles that guide every service we provide. From reentry support and mental health and substance use recovery to workforce development, life skills coaching, and violence prevention initiatives, we help restore hope and build stronger communities.

What sets E.P.I.D.E.M.E.K. apart is our people. Our facilitators and leaders bring not only professional expertise but lived experience—offering authentic connection, compassion, and practical guidance that drive real change.
At E.P.I.D.E.M.E.K., we don’t just rebuild lives—we restore purpose.
